Hearts On Fire Blog Hop & Giveaway

Happy Valentines Day, girls and boys!

Little Cupids, hearts, confetti, champagne, (most importantly) chocolate, and all that good stuff. I hope you're here for the Hearts On Fire Valentines Blog Hop! Woohoo!

Just for fun, how about a Top 10 List of my favorite romance movies. You know, the ones that get your heart racing and blood pumping and you hope and pray and cheer when your favorite heroes and heroines get together.

1. Overboard (1987) with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
2. Pretty Woman (1990) with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere
3. Fool's Gold (2008) with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey
4. The Notebook (2004) with Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling
5. The Proposal (2009) with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds
6. 50 First Dates (2004) with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler
7. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey
8. Just Go With It (2011) with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler
9. Alex and Emma (2003) with Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson
10. Hitch (2005) with Eva Mendes and Will Smith

Most of those are rom coms and packed with laughs. Even The Notebook has it's moments!

February is not my favorite month ever, but it does mean we're that much closer to spring, so I'll take it. It's long been known as the month of love, so it's a great time for romance authors to hawk our wares.

I'm really thrilled that I had a book come out in January and one coming out at the end of the month to hug Valentines Day. This month is also the official anniversary of when I started writing one of those books. The Convict and the Cattleman was my first serious historical romance. It's the story of an Irishwoman sent to Australia because she attempted to steal and a grazier looking for a nursemaid to care for his niece. The unlikely pair begin to fall in love, but outside forces try to tear them apart. This story means a lot to me because it was my first serious attempt at a novel and it marks how far I've come in five years.

The other book is also a historical romance. It's set in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, which is a really romantic town, if you've never visited. My husband and I honeymooned there 900 er, nine years ago this June. Wildwood Spring is about a woman searching for a miracle to save her mother. She takes a chance, going to a house outside the town where it's rumored the reclusive owner hides a spring that can cure any illness. The owner is a reclusive man who was brought up not to trust outsiders, but he can't resist her charm. When the miracle fails, she returns to the manor house and the owner takes her in. They fall in love, but they both have troubling pasts that could ruin their future together.

You can get The Convict and the Cattleman at Amazon. Stay tuned for updates for Wildwood Spring's release on February 28!

So here's the really fun part (reading is fun, but winning is awesome sauce!): I'm giving away this sweet little necklace because it fits the themes of both releases. The tagline for The Convict and the Cattleman is 'His love is the key to her release' and in Wildwood Spring, the heroine wears a key on a chain around her neck because it's part of her mysterious past.

So I hunted and searched and found this little gem for you. All you have to do to win is leave a comment and be sure to include your e-mail address so I can send an e-mail if you win. It probably wouldn't hurt if you liked my Facebook page or followed me on Twitter, because I like that sort of thing. *wink, wink*

You have chances to win other great prizes as well from the hostesses of the blog hop. If you visit Close Encounters with the Night Kind, you can find the other authors participating in the hop.

Happy Valentines Day! I hope your silk stockings are filled with chocolate.

Enter for the grand prize:
Gorgeous heart pendant with a 20 carat lab ruby and 14k gold chain PLUS signed paperbacks from each author  - entire series by Victoria and Kym.

  10. Thanks for the chance to win the adorable necklace:)) I follow you GFC. However, I'm at my limit on FB and Twitter so they won't let me add any more!! I don't like February either because it's usually cold and yucky and I'm always single at V-day. This year, though, I dislike it even more because I'm sitting here looking out the window watching SNOW fall. My daughter has had EIGHT snow days and my dogs hate me because I'm not walking them, lol.
